Julie Claire of Wild Lotus Floral Design offers Barrie residents more than your average florist shop. After working as staff in the industry for over 15 years, Julie took the plunge to open her shop at 2 Marsellus Drive in the southwest end of town in 2020; kudos to her for starting a brand new business during Covid.
Her talent has led her to win local awards in 2019, 2021 and 2022. Her incredible showcase of designs has been published in both Simcoe Muskoka Wedding Trends Magazine and Elegant Wedding Magazine.
What makes Wild Lotus Floral Design different?
Julie has made her shop the centre of attention for ‘Boho-chic’ arrangements and a wonderful studio for local artisans. Featured in the shop are the works of Touched Through Spirit, Cheeky Candle Co., The Lark and The Lotus Naturals and Green Bunny Organics.
We Can Celebrate Again
With wedding and prom season finally being celebrated, there’s a lot to choose from. Wild Lotus Floral offers everything from boutonnières and corsages to complete wedding packages.
Julie tells us that she’s seeing a lot of blush pinks and blues for colour choices for prom this year. Many brides are looking at ‘Boho’ garden-style weddings with flower crowns, dried flowers and pampas grass. Whatever your wedding style might be, the talented staff at this shop are there to put it together for you.
Weekly Floral Giveaway
One of the most beautiful statements Wild Lotus Floral Designs makes is through a weekly floral giveaway. The staff members take turns driving around their community to drop off a bouquet on random doorsteps, in a parking lot or even at the corner gas station. Julie and her staff are not only ‘uber-talented’ but wonderfully kind and compassionate, bringing smiles to strangers’ faces outside of the shop once a week. Julie loves making people smile, hearing their stories and sharing art. This is what makes them so very special.
So Much Talent
With Julie’s design abilities, she’s the person to talk to when you want to dress either yourself or your home with the most spectacular blooms or arrangements. Plus, there are so many beautiful pieces from her local artisans to complement any corner of your home.
Drop in Soon!
If you want to send someone something special, Wild Lotus Floral is the place to call. Whether it’s pickup or delivery, there are plenty of options. The shop offers a subscription service for anyone wanting fresh arrangements regularly. However, it’s a shop that is well worth the visit, so full of beautiful flowers and objets d’art. Make your way over to Marsellus drive and welcome spring with fresh blooms.
