We uncovered a very unique business this week. Opportunities Abound at Fleurish. This very unique business is providing internships as a Social Enterprise Floral Studio.
Fleurish Loves Community Support
By purchasing your floral needs through this remarkable company, your monies are being invested in assisting vulnerable women in our community.
Emily Day believes in opportunities for a fresh start. By offering a 12 week paid small business internship for women, they’ve been able to provide our community with a safe space for creative and intellectual growth. This is why we truly believe that opportunity abounds at Fleurish.
The women chosen are taught all things ‘small business’ from the ground up. Starting with flower arranging they’re taught to develop strong work ethics, relationship building and trust. Building such a strong foundation at work creates strength and self love in the lives of these women.
Emily has created wonderful community partnerships as well. Working with Camphill as one, Fleurish provides wildflower seed paper and the group at Camphill paint beautiful images on the paper that they make into cards as well as bookmarks. Both groups sell the finished products in their stores reaping the rewards of their partnership. Fleurish goes one step further sending $1.00 from each bookmark sold to the Alzheimer’s Society. How great is that? Thats why we say… Opportunity Abounds at Fleurish.
The product list at Fleurish is both beautiful and thoughtful. There is everything from smudge bundles to bath box bundles and of course flowers.
Opportunities Abound at Fleurish
The women take part in learning it all. Once their internship is complete there are many paths that they could choose from. Some have chosen to complete continued education courses while others have decided to stay within the world of flowers.
It’s so true that Opportunities Abound at Fleurish, because regardless of their choices they will always be welcome at Fleurish. They are invited to join the Fleurish Village for ongoing support and friendship as well.
Fleurish also holds a variety of community classes and even have 2 upcoming vendor markets open to the public.
