This Weekend in Barrie: 3 Things To Try
BLUE MOUNTAIN SKIING AND ENCHANTED MOUNTAIN
A sure sign that winter has fully arrived is the kick off to the ski season. This weekend, the slopes will be open at Blue Mountain. Of course, it’s a little different in 2020.
For opening weekend, mountain access is restricted to Resort guests and passholders.
After you’ve hit the hills, take a walk though Enchanted Mountain. The entire Village is decked out in garlands and bows, ideal for a family trip full of festive sights and sounds.
Aside from the festive décor, there will are fire pits to warm by, holiday music and carolers and horse drawn carriage with Santa this Saturday. There’s also a one kilometer pedestrian pathway through the Village and around the Mill Pond with interactive Christmas light displays.
TAKE THE 4X4 CHALLENGE
Did you miss Mayor Jeff’s red zone challenge? The Challenge is simple!
Red zone restrictions will last 4 weeks (or more). So, for the next four weeks, the challenge is to do these 4 things each week (4 x 4): 1. Donate to a Barrie Charity 2. Order take out for pickup from a Barrie restaurant 3. Buy something from a Barrie shop/service 4. Reach out to someone in Barrie. Post the 4 things you did with the hashtag #Barrie4x4Challenge
