Comedy
This is more of a pre-weekend event, as it happens tonight. But the return of stand up is worth staying up late for!
Den of Hilarities is back at Donaleigh’s this evening. The assemblage of comedians from the Barrie area and the GTA hit the stage to entertain and demean for all in attendance.
The show is a monthly affair, so if you miss this one, keep an eye out for March’s show. Doors are at 6:30pm.
Skating
The temps are beginning their annual rise, and that means that there aren’t too many weekends to carve fresh ice.
Consider hitting one of the local rinks before the sheets have melted. Or if you are up for a more adventurous outing, consider a road trip to one of the many cool outdoor trails around Barrie. Arrowhead in particular has a stunning setup for night gliding.
Hit the Hot Chocolate Trail
It’s the last weekend to get your hot chocy passport stamped through the downtown core. And with moderate temps on the way, it’s the perfect excuse to get out of the house and patronize some of the central Barrie cafes and businesses.
New to the trail this year: retailers are participating. Make a donation to their charity of choice and receive a ballot to enter to win the grand prize.
