The Weekender – Feb. 17th
What’s better than a weekend? A Looonnggg weekend. And thanks to the advent of Family Day, many of us will enjoy an extra day off when Monday hits.
So make the most of it! There is plenty of things to do in and around Barrie when Friday hits; scroll on for a trio of suggestions…
Trivia @ Couchiching Brewing
Trivia at the pub is a fantastic night out for you and your special someone. And on Sunday there is a family friendly option in Orillia.
Couchiching Craft Brewing hosts a Family Day trivia battle in their taproom. The theme is focused on families and celebrates the younger years, so bring your Disney, Marvel and kid-related knowledge.
There is no cover charge, and the day features food and bev specials, with prizes. Hit up their website for more and to register.
Paintball @ The Barrie Sports Dome
Nothing says the weekend like gunning down enemies in the safe and fun confines of a paintball match.
The Barrie sports dome offers paintball, AKA reball every other week. Equipment rental is available, and there is a price break with larger groups.
Deathball, Medic, Hot Potato and Capture The Flag are among the game themes you can choose. Admission is good for an hour and a half of game time. Check the sports dome website for pricing and registration!
Hit a Colts Game
The Colts are back in town, on the heels of a 5-2 win over Owen Sound, and as of the 17th ,they can again welcome spectators to the barn!
On Saturday they hit the ice to entertain the Oshawa Generals. The capacity limit is still 50%, so it’s best to get tickets sooner rather than later. Buy them on the Colts website.
