The Weekender

The Weekender – Aug. 5th

The Weekender Is Powered by The The Queens Hometown Bar & Grill: The home of live music in Barrie and your destination for great food and great times!

Happening this weekend in the Barrie area…

Boots & Hearts

Canada’s biggest camping and western music festival is back at Burl’s Creek August this weekend.

Shania Twain headlines this year’s shows, with the emerging artist showcase, after dark EMD party and midway to keep you entertained throughout the weekend.

Hit up their website for more.

Outdoor Movie in Cookstown

Enjoy a movie under the stars on Friday.

Innisfil Library hosts another of their Open Air Flicks at the Cookstown branch, with Sing 2 on the screen.

Live music, bouncy castles and food will be on site through the evening as well.

Trivia And Tunes @ The Queens

Of course, if you are too impatient for Friday to arrive, you can kick off the weekend early at the Queens tonight and try your hand at trivia.

Beginning at 7, it’s a chance to show off your useless knowledge skills, and earn eternal (or at least nightly) bragging rights as a quiz master.

Likewise, there is plenty of live music through the weekend at the Q.

Further, if you just don’t want the night to end, step over to the club side after 10pm, with DJs on the decks and more drink specials to be had.
