The Weekender – Apr. 8th
The Weekender Is Powered by The The Queens Hometown Bar & Grill: The home of live music in Barrie and your destination for great food and great times!
Happening this weekend in the Barrie area…
Comedy @ Perfect Szn
Makers of mirth take the mic at Perfect Szn to kickoff the weekend.
Sinbin Comedy, hosted by Greg Enwright, happens on Friday night.
The lineup features a trio of comics from across the country who have appeared on major comedy shows and festivals.
Check the comedy fest’s Insta page for ticket info, and to reserve seating. Or get tix through Perfect Szn!
Barrie Comicon
Geeks unite this Sunday at East Bayfield community center as Comicon returns to Barrie.
A variety of vendors will be selling comic books, new & vintage toys, jewelry, DVD’s, anime, manga, prints, and plenty of other awesome genre and nerd related merch.
Also ~ some vendors will be buying. So if you have a box or two of unwanted comic books, toys or video games sitting in the basement, this is chance to clear them out, and go home with some extra cash!!
(Just be wary of giving away anything like a Superman #1)
Admission is $5, with food donations being accepted for raffle tickets.
Spring Festival @ Chappell Farms
Chappell’s annual Spring festivities return this weekend.
Candy hunts are at the top of each hour, with the last hunt at 5pm. The hunts go this weekend and carry on through Easter long weekend.
You can bring your own basket, but there will be some available for purchase. Grab tickets at www.chappellfarms.ca
Trivia And Tunes @ The Queens
If you are too impatient for Friday to arrive, kick off the weekend early at the Queens tonight and try your hand at trivia.
Beginning at 7, it’s a chance to show off your useless knowledge skills, and earn eternal (or at least nightly) bragging rights as a quiz master.
As always, there is plenty of live music through the weekend at the Q.
And if you just don’t want the night to end, step over to the club side after 10pm. with DJs on the decks and more drink specials to be had.
