The Best Summer Camps in Barrie

Although it’s difficult to envision as we endure day 9000 of winter, there is a time of the year when leaving the house isn’t such a monumental task requiring ice picks and snow pants.

Summer is coming! It won’t be too long before we trade in de-icing salt for barbecue sauce and toques for trunks.

To ensure you get a head start on getting the small ones enrolled in an exciting day time activity, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best summer camps in Barrie. Scroll on for more!

    City Of Barrie

Day camps are eligible for ages 4-12 to experience a host of outdoor physically distanced activities. The focus is making friends, arts and crafts, sports, and camp games.

Registration opens for city based day camps on March 1st.

    Camp Kaleidoscope

Aimed at kids aged 4-10, Kaleidoscope offers seven different programs packed with engaged activities, arts, crafts, robotics, field trips and STEM learning. Camp themes include Harry Potter, Spy Kids, Minecraft, and Back to the Future.

    Code Ninjas

Topics range from game design, 3-D printing, and even coding your own robot.

    Vertical Zone

Budding athletes will jump at the chance to attend this camp. (Pun intended).

All camps have fun activities including trampoline and double mini trampoline instruction, pit and airbag time, creative obstacle courses and cooperative games.

    Baycats

Up and coming players keen to refine their skills on the diamond should check out the ‘Cats summer camp offerings. The curriculum is focused on simulated and inter squad game play, and tailored to be age and skill appropriate.

Camp participants will play games, receive instruction, and practice on the field at Vintage Throne Stadium, home of the 7 time IBL Champions!

The Baycats are also running a March break camp, with registration starting tonight.
