Youth Halloween Coffeehouse

On Friday, hit the MacLaren Art Centre for their annual Youth Advisory Council’s annual Halloween Coffee House! Dress in your best Over the Rainbow-themed costume (think Wizard of Oz, or just bright and colourful!) and enjoy music and spoken-word performances by Simcoe County high school students!

Create Halloween crafts, make buttons with our button-maker and pose in our photobooth! The Halloween Coffeehouse is fun for all! Prizes will also be awarded for best costumes!




Spooky Mixology

The new Indigo/Chapters is offering a spooky mixology class on Saturday.

Enjoy tantalizing taste tests and learn tips & tricks from an expert mixologist to create haunting Halloween concoctions. Show your plum card to participate. No experience required.


Barrie Film Festival After Party 

Kicking the evening off at Uptown Theatre, there will be a gala screening of La Belle Époque a sweet, high-concept romantic-comedy from France which was a Special Presentation at TIFF this year.

Following the film be sure to head to the Common Good Café and Social House for the not-to-be missed After Party. This is a fun-filled evening of dancing, delicious hors d’oeuvres and great conversation. Don’t miss this buzz-worthy event-of-the-season!

Friday Harbour has the eerie going on Saturday, for an exciting day featuring several of our region’s most talented Psychics, Energy Healers, Paranormal Investigators and Holistic Vendors on the Boardwalk and Pier.

This positively-charged and family-friendly event will include fun family activities, aura and card readings, psychic consultations and mystical merchandise.

Kids can create their own candy bags, paint a decorative pumpkin and have their face painted before showing off their costume around the campfire featuring guest storyteller Heather Dennis.
