Well, that is Santa here, and what an entrance, supported by a long line of floats, a pipe band and many special characters. The parade left Tiffin and wound it’s way down Lakeshore, up Bradford to Dunlop and then all the way downtown to Merdian Place. The crowds were out to welcome the great man all along the route. What a jolly fellow he was with his big smile, as you will see in our pictures, just click on the picture to enjoy them more. It all cumulated in the Christmas Tree Lighting and fireworks. We are thankful to the organization of Barrie Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Barrie they did a great job in making a great big welcome to Saint Nicholas. Also, we should mention all the sponsors who help bring this all together and all the brilliant floats. Being of Celtic blood I loved the pipe band, I am bit biased I know, sorry!
I hope the photos help you relive the night, or if you weren’t there see what you missed!
Very special festive greetings to all of Barrie, have a very Merry Christmas and Happy and Prosperous New Year!
