Georgian College Student Association presents their first online event this week.

On TUESDAY MAY 12th @ 4pm they launch an Online Trivia Night – hosted by Darren McDonald from Town Trivia 🧠 📚

Trivia is a fantastic way to pass the time in isolation, and the highest score Wins a $50 Wal-Mart Gift Card

FAMILY STORYTIME WITH BARRIE PUBLIC LIBRARY

The library has been offering a ton of virtual events for patrons, and this week Family Storytime is going live on Tuesdays.

Happening on Zoom to develop your child’s early literacy skills through stories, songs and rhymes. Up to 20 families may take part in each session. It’s a great chance to connect with others and share in the joy of classic stories read by BPL staff.

Georgian College Artist Showcase

In addition to the ton of other local live streamed music options, Georgian College is hosting an artist showcase this week.

This is a live performance on the association’s FB and Insta channels, open to everyone. But pre-registration is required

VIRTUAL CINEMA WITH THE BFF

The Barrie Film Festival has rolled out a terrific lineup of independent, first run flicks. You can rent each one for up to 5 days on their new platform. This week 3 more titles added with more coming in the weeks ahead!

ATTEND THE STRATFORD FESTIVAL

Stratford’s Festival is launching a film festival offering free streaming of 12 Shakespeare productions.  These plays were captured as part of its Stratford Festival On Film series. Stratford Festival On Film was launched in 2014 as an initiative to capture all of Shakespeare’s plays on film.

Each film is captured live with a full audience at the Stratford Festival during a single performance.
