3 Great Things To Do In Barrie This Weekend

COMEDY, CONCERTS AND GREAT FOOD IN BARRIE THIS WEEKEND

As the weekend approaches, the city by the Lake gears up for another noteworthy entertainment adventure. This Friday and Saturday in Barrie feature fine dining, talented local musicians and stand-up comedy. Keep in mind that you can find them all listed, as well as events coming in the days ahead on our events page.

SEAWAY/FIRST GHOST/INK IN CONCERT

The Foxx lounge on Dunlop Street continues to cement its reputation as the premier destination for live music in Barrie. Consequently, this weekend the venue presents a two day show headlined by pop punk powerhouse Seaway. The Ontario based, Weezer-esque group have been growing in reputation and style since their formation in 2011 and come to Barrie on the heels of a new album and over 1 million streams on Spotify.

Seaway is joined by local emerging band Ink, a regular on the Barrie downtown live music circuit. Listen to their stuff on their Soundcloud page. 

YUK YUK COMEDY NIGHT 

Tangle Creek Golf presents its semi-monthly Comedy night on Saturday January 26, 2019. The show features Mike Rita, Keith Pedro and Ted Morris. The night includes a four course meal, as well as a buffet.

BARRIELICIOUS 

Barrie’s annual culinary journey through the city’s best eateries continue Friday and Saturday. Even more restaurants took part this year and you can enjoy noteworthy full-course meals prepared by local chefs. Above all, you can do it for great prices – ranging from $15 – $30. Furthermore, the two-week event includes new menus exclusive to Barrielicious as well as multiple opportunities to win prizes.

BONUS UNCOVERED EVENT!  ROBBIE BURNS SCOTCH NOSING 

It’s Robbie Burns day on Friday January 25, 2019, and as a result, J’adore Speakcheesy is celebrating early. You can join them on Thursday for a celebration of the Scottish poet featuring 4 whiskeys paired with cheese from around the world and traditional Scottish dishes.
