3 Things in Barrie To Do This Weekend
“Better days are coming. They are Saturday and Sunday” said…someone much wiser than us. But it’s the truth! The weekend’s impending arrival is a cause for celebration, as we shake off the shackles of the 9-5 grind.
The two day break from Zoom meetings and production schedules is ripe for getting out of the house and enjoying the best that Barrie has to offer. Scroll on for a triumvirate of happenings this weekend…
Outside of a Jurassic Park sequel coming to town for filming, this is the best dinosaur related event to ever hit Barrie!
Dino Park is an immersive walk-thru experience consisting of roaring animatronic life size dinosaurs, carnival rides, games and food. The pre-historic giants take over the Georgian Mall through the weekend, although tickets can be booked in advance.
If sports is more your bag, get yourself to Ferris Lane for a collection of pile drives and forearm shivers, live.
Barrie Wrestling is back in the ring, with an outdoor set of matches going down on Saturday. Vaughan Vertigo ( former heavyweight champ) Mark Wheeler, Pretty Ricky and Shand Sabre are set to slam for the first time in over a year.
You can message Barrie Wrestling direct on their FB page for ticket info.
Open Air Dunlop and Live Music
Open Air Dunlop is back this Saturday, with an added bonus. Live entertainment will be featured at Meridian place, including a busker concert series in support of Youth Haven.
In addition to the shows, you can check out all the downtown offerings, including the Farmer’s Market at City Hall, running Saturday from 8am-Noon.
