FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK, WE SALUTE YOU.
Barrie’s annual guitar and drums clash returns to the Ranch this weekend.
Battle of the Bands is back for it’s 15th night of competitive live music at Canada’s largest country bar. Doors open at 7pm on Friday, with music kicking off at 7:15.
The ticket for 2019’s edition includes six local acts featuring prominent Barrie citizens and musicians. Among them are Mayor Jeff Lehman’s band Sonic Coaltion.
Joining them are The Bailouts, Bunker, Code Blue, Steve’s Garage and Table Nine. With over 700 attendees expected to come through the doors, the venue will be bursting with excitement.
And there is more! Beyond the terrific lineup of musical talent, there will be an abundance of catered food provided by Cravings Fine Food Market. There’s also plenty of liquid refreshments available at the bar throughout the night.
As always, proceeds will support a number of vital local organizations. Funds generated this year will go to KICX 106 & 104.1 The DOCK’s RVH Radio for Cardiology, Kempenfelt Rotary Club and the MacLaren Art Centre.
The yearly gala has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the MacLaren Art Centre and others in the decade and a half since its inception. The convergence of music and philanthropy has become one of Barrie’s most talked about events.
Drawing on the considerable musical talents of the city’s medical, legal and financial industries, Battle of the Bands represents a uniquely Barrie centric celebration which delivers support directly to the community.
And it’s a real time social media event! You can let everyone know you’re attending by joining the official Facebook event and by using the hashtag #BattleoftheBands2019 on both Instagram and Twitter throughout to post updates.
