Head out to the Last Level Lounge for a night of
laughter and fun!

Will Nash

Head over to Last Level Lounge for a night of laughter and fun. Will Nash will be hosting a comedy show called “Last Level Laughs”. The event will take place on September 26th, 2020 and there will be a $5 cover charge.

The event will take place on the patio and seating is limited so it will be on a first come first serve basis. In support of social distancing, all regulations will be followed. Please remember to bring your mask. Come have a good laugh with Scott Walker, Patrick Russell, Jordan Hoath, Daniel Shaw, Jeff Faulkner, Colin Brown and of course headliner Marc Trinidad.

Scott Walker

The Last Level Lounge is a fun arcade and pinball lounge with an 80’s retro vibe, great customer service and active gameplay. It’s a great place where you can relive your childhood. They also serve alcohol and are partnered with Chavo Crapes next door. If you’re wondering about food, they have pizza, nachos, and tacos! What more could you ask for?

Wondering what games to play when you go to this amazing place? We have put together a small list of games along with some interesting facts.

  1. Pac-Man
Every adult should know this classic arcade game unless you lived under a rock as a child. But did you know this funny little fact? The arcade title was first released as Puck-Man. The name was changed to Pac-Man to avoid the machines getting vandalized. A lot of arcade operators at the time were worried about the P being changed to an F.
  2. Frogger
This is another fun retro classic that was introduced in 1981. It was developed by Konami. The object of this game is to help get frogs (one by one) across a busy road, and a river full of hazards!
  3. Ice Cold Beer
A mechanical arcade game released by Taito in 1983?. Taito released a lot of classics including Space Invaders and Bubble Bobble (also available to play at Last Level). Ice Cold Beer is a popular choice for game collectors. Speaking of ice-cold Beer, did you know the Last Level supports local draft beer?
  4. Street Fighter II
The World Warrior, also known as Street Fighter II, is a competitive fighting game developed by Capcom and originally released for arcade systems in 1991. Street Fighter II became very popular in the golden age of arcade gaming.

Just to add a little more fun to this, we have compiled some corny arcade jokes to get you in the mood for the event. Please note that the Comedians jokes will be much funnier.

  • What happens when you put 2 Pac-Man machines together? The paparazzi show up saying “Hey, look! it’s Tupac, Man”.
  • What is the most popular Arcade game in Mexico? Guac-a-mole.
  • What is Joe Biden’s favourite arcade game? Space Invaders.
  • What do you say when you leave an arcade? See you later Simulator!

Cinema Smackdown Episode 2 – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

In our second episode of Cinema Smack Down, Fraser and Scott review the 1990 shell-head classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and conclude (among other things) that the film heroes were probably guilty of lifting clothes from dead bodies, and that animatronics in the early 90s left much to be desired.

If you are easily offended, there are a few swears.
