As any veteran of Barrie’s live music scene will tell you, there aren’t many nights off here.
If you’re game for going out, the city by the Lake is guaranteed to have a gig for you every week. Whether you’re craving an alt rock blowout, an intimate jazz ensemble or a laid back acoustic set, Wednesday through Saturday in Barrie are jammed with jams from local talent and edgy bands from across the region.

The Queens
Thursday – 6-Bands 6-Songs 6-$ Cover Night
Sunday – The Creepshow with HitZy FitZ & Bigfoot Portal Crisis
Toronto psychobilly stalwarts The Creepshow lead the way to close out the week at the Dirty Q. Creepshow have been blazing through the scene since 2005, with an authoritative catalouge of tunes. The band has been through a few iterations over the past decade and a half, but have continued to build killer tracks inspired by horror films.
Barrie’s Hitzy Fitz and Bigfoot Portal Crisis round out the set list.

Saturday – Jack Farrell & Austin Raw
Jack Farrell & Austin Raw are a local acoustic duo from Barrie, Ontario.
Comprised of Jack’s vocals and Austin’s guitar, the pair have been jamming for the last four years. Previously linked to Barrie’s New City Revival, they’ve played the Foxx and Mavrick’s Music Hall in the recent past.
Sunday – Cory M. Coons
Hot on the heels of over 170,000 plays on Spotify for his melodic brand of roots-flavoured rock, Cory M Coons comes to Indie Distributor stage on Sunday.
His work with famed producer Ron Nevison has earned him industry recognition from the Los Angeles Music Awards, the Producer’s Choice Honors, The Josie Music Awards, and the Radio Music Awards.
