With the amazing/omfg is it actually happening/finally news that patios, splash pads and beaches can reopen (with social distance enforced) this weekend, it’s fitting that on top of BBQs and Volleyball, you can get online at the beach in Barrie.
The City has been quietly installing free Wi-fi hotspots along the waterfront since March. But it wasn’t until this week that the network kicked into full capacity. There is free service now from the Southshore Centre out to Heritage Park.
And there are more installments coming throughout the year.
The project’s next phase will provide wifi along Dunlop Street, from Mulcaster to Toronto. The city is working with the BIA to find buildings to house the access points.
