All The Good (And Occasional) Bad of What Went Down in Barrie Last Week
There are three certainties in life…
And if you are tweeting, posting and talking about Barrie on social media, we want to hear from you! Every week we will do a quick recap of the week that was in Barrie based on your pics, posts and videos.
Whether it’s concerts, store openings, foodie reviews, feelgood stories, fun facts about Barrie, even bizarre bird formations over the marina, we want to share it.
Here’s what went down in Barrie last week…
Oh yeah. There was a little celebration called Barrie Pride last week and it was AWESOME. Even Stormtroopers took part…
Have you heard about Deb Bobechko? She’s a local entrepreneur and in just a few days she will be scaling Mount Kilimanjaro on a mission to get to the peak! But more than that, she’s carrying the flag of Youth Haven, Barrie’s emergency shelter for homeless youth, with her and if she makes it to the top, the flag will be planted there. Go Deb!
A sure sign that summer is coming to an end (feel free to insert your own screaming GIFs here) is Barrie Baycats playoff games. The’ cats are into round two and in good shape to repeat as IBL champs after smashing the Jackfish on Sunday. Go Baycats!!
Concerts? Yeah, there were a few loud ones this week…
And finally, who doesn’t love a great thunderstorm? Unless you work outside during said storm. Earlier this week we got a classic boomer and Instant Weather Ontario got this way cool timelapse of the approaching clouds.
Time lapse video of the storm that’s currently moving northeast through parts of Barrie.
And how’s your day going?
