From late September all the way until Halloween, Chappell Farms offers their annual Fall Festival! Activities include feeding animals, a haunted tent, a less spooky Boo Barn, pumpkin picking, magic shows, wagon rides and train rides.
The annual behind-the-scenes look at the Barrie arts scene through a variety of activities and programs happens this weekend. The MacLaren Art Centre, 5 Points Theatre and Bohemia Cafe are just a few of the spots taking part this year.

There is no shortage of live entertainment this Autumn, including weekly shows at the Foxx Lounge and performances all over the city.
If joke telling is more your scene, Laffy Taffy comedy takes over Fionn MacCool’s every Sunday. There is also a new local troupe called YIKES offering up a live improv show on Oct. 5th. And Greg Morton hits the Ferndale Banquet Hall on October 3rd.
The food trucks may be in dock for the season, but the food fests are still on. Collier street United Church offers up Feast at 8 food stations featuring Culinary Team Canada award-winning Chef Ryan and Chef Carmelo and renowned local chefs including Michael & Marions, Groovy Tuesdays, TJ’s Pizza & Curry in a hurry, Homestead and Dunlop Street Diner.
Among the many benefits of living in Barrie is the tremendous amount of hiking and biking trails in your own backyard. Ardagh Bluffs, the North Shore Trail and the Waterfront Heritage path are just a few in-town options to get your hike on.
It’s not the Ultimate Warrior vs. Macho Man… but it ain’t far off. Barrie’s talented wrestling scene offers monthly bouts and these folks know how to deliver a show! November 2nd is their fifth anniversary show so you can be sure the chairs will be flying.
