TGIF: Take The Scenic Route
Let’s be honest…there are worse ways to kickstart the weekend than with a cold beverage.
And yet, it’s easy to fall into a routine of buying the same couple of beers or spirits at your favorite watering hole or the LCBO. Of course, there’s always going to be your standard go-to’s. But mixing it up (get it…mixing???) makes for a fun outing.
With that in mind, we’re taking a shot (bet you thought we would stop with the drinking puns after that first one) at finding you a weekly selection of spirits to liven up your Friday.

Scenic Route -Redline Brewing
An ideal IPA to get you into the summer vibes, this is a juicy flavour infused beer both unique, and inviting.
Drawing inspiration from classic IPA styles, the initial pour is a hazy orange tint with a magnitude of fluffy white head. Further, the aromatic introduction presents a tidy blend of tropics, citrus, and stone fruits.
The first taste reinforces the pleasant first smells. Traces of mango, orange, and fresh grapefruit come to the forefront as the cold sips hits the palate, finishing with smooth bitterness.
The mouth feel tends to the soft side, with medium carbonation. The summery feel really comes to the fore with the shining gold, cloudy appearance through the pour.
Although the density and bitterness is not as profound as in other IPAs, Scenic Route does strike a balance with malts and hops.
Best paired with sharper, barbecue oriented foods, this is a charming drink for a warm day on the patio or at the cottage.
