NEWS FROM THE BARRIE FOODIE FILES
If social media is to be believed, a new Tapas Lounge will soon land in Barrie’s downtown.
Nxt.dor popped up on Instagram this week, and posted this teaser.
There is plenty or real estate available along Dunlop where a new Tapas joint could go; including the old Fundoozie’s at the corner of Maple and the former Bridal shop beside Donaleigh’s.
There was alot of turnover among downtown eateries in 2019. Skewers, a Korean style BBQ joint took up a spot on Clapperton, while Banh Mi Viet Thuong replaced Tiffin’s Curry in a Hurry at 7 Dunlop early in the new year.
Made In Mexico at 10 Dunlop closed in October. It will soon be replaced by a Nashville inspired tex/mex restaurant, expected to open in the spring.
