Canada Day Weekend @ The Queens
It’s a lock that this year’s Canada Day celebrations will reach levels of enjoyment we haven’t seen in quite a while.
To avoid a serious case of FOMO when the long weekend hits, get yourself to the Queens and join in the shenanigans!
And be sure to tag us and the Queens to share in your adventures.
Break Out The Red & White
Scour your wardrobe for as many red and white outfits as you can find, and deck yourself out for a chance to win some cool prizes. (And yeah…include a patriotic choice of underwear. Just in case)
On Thursday night, there’s a gift card to the Queens up for grabs.
On Friday, Jay’s tickets are on the docket.
And on Saturday, it’s a couple of passes to Canada’s Wonderland!
Beyond the prizes, there are plenty of bevy specials to ring in the national birthday. $3 drinks are available until 11pm through the weekend, going up to just $4 until midnight.
To say nothing of the Queens extensive menu, and draught and spirits list.
If you really want to go all in with national pride, consider getting a Caesar. The tomato laced cocktail is generally accepted as Canada’s official drink.
Patios & Tunes
Open Air Dunlop takes over the streets of downtown on Friday and Saturday this week, giving you another excuse to lounge on the Queens patio for a pint or two.
Moreover, the usual lineup of acoustic bands will be on hand to serenade the masses.
Thursday – Jamie Drake and The Thunderstealers
Friday – Girlz Up Front
Saturday – The Fred Grant Squares
