There was a surprise yesterday for those involved in the hospitality industry in Simcoe County. Localicious and Farmhouse Barrie collaborated to create a boxed luncheon and a few special treats for anyone working within the industry.
Farah Miltimore of Localicious explained that everyone in the industry has been so hard hit, time after time with shutdowns, they needed an uplifting moment.
Uplifting it certainly was! Randy Feltis and Ryan Traversy of Farmhouse Barrie served up a rustic Minestrone Soup, Incredible P.L.T. (Peameal, bacon and lettuce) sandwich, with provisions from The Butcher Shoppe, along with cheese from J’adore Cheese and Chocolate and sweet treats from Fox’s Bakery. Beauty and Babes Salon even dropped by to donate some free haircuts.
To go along with their boxed lunch to go, Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery and Founders Original provided Ale samples, and Georgian Bay Spirit Co. provided a sweet end to each meal with samples of their liquor-based coolers provided with a smile by Tony King.
Thanks to Farah and the Localicious team for inviting us to Uncover this great event alongside CTV news and other media.
