When statues of the iconic Rolling Stones red lips started appearing this summer in Toronto, rumours began to fly they would travel north of the border during their successful ‘No Filter’ tour. Their tour route brings them close to the border in Chicago and luckily, for fans in Canada, those rumours were true! This summer, at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds, the Stones will play to a (almost certainly sold-out) crowd of 70,000.
Barrie marks the final stop on the North American leg of their tour and will be the only Canadian show. Even more exciting for Canadian fans, the show will be on June 29th, A.K.A. Canada Day long weekend. Oro-Medonte looks forward to seeing a huge influx of people coming their way to enjoy the show and the beautiful nature the area offers.
Rolling Stones No Filter Tour
Thus far the ‘No Filter’ tour has been hugely successful, playing sold out shows across Europe, and bringing in rave reviews for the band members. The set list so far has included many of their iconic hits, such as ‘Sympathy for the Devil’, ‘Paint it Black’ and ‘Brown Sugar.’

Lisa Zechmeister, part of the show’s promoter, Republic Live, says, “It truly was the stars aligned on that — the fact that it was the Canada Day long weekend, the only Canadian show, I couldn’t have manufactured this any better myself.”
