BFF Short Film Competition Is Open

Send In Your Entries For The 2021 Short Movie Showcase

The Barrie Film Festival’s Short Film Competition is open for business.

This year’s BFF Short Film program is on the hunt for movies to fill out the showcase later this year.

The competition is one of the featured (and more popular) programs held during the ten-day festival every year.

The lineup features a section of local filmmakers, as well as international productions.

The top 3 movies in every section earn cash prizes, including the high school and Simcoe County categories. And all selected entries get to have their film shown on the big screen!

There’s also the audience choice award, voted on by the guests in attendance.

A number of past local winners have gone on to successful careers in film and video production, and the showcase routinely receives upwards of 500 submissions from all over the globe.
