The library’s annual celebration of all things geek happens on Sep. 21st
It’s a free, family-friendly event featuring cosplayers (Costume Players) art from local artists, vendors and virtual reality!
The second annual Barrie music festival happens Sept. 21 &22nd all across the city.
With over 30 musical acts (including Bedouin Soundclash, Cowboy Junkies and Damhnait Doyles ) packed in over the two days, it’s an absolute must for live music fans.

These initiatives promise to bring you a weekend of amazing cultural activities that will be sure to teach you something new, pique your creative interest, and expand your perception of the arts forever.
This annual arts festival offers great events for visitors of all ages that explore the role language plays in contemporary art. Special exhibitions, performances, readings, artists’ talks, screenings, guided tours and hands-on family workshops take place at the MacLaren Art Centre and in downtown Barrie.
Canada’s Largest & Longest Running Video Game & Geek Culture Trade Show is back in Barrie on Sept. 15th.
