TONIGHT is the first of 7 nights Shane will be sleeping outside as his 9th annual fund and awareness raiser for homelessness. He will be staying in a cardboard shelter he made from acquired materials in efforts to raise funds for: The David Busby Street Centre, Youth Haven, and The Woman and Children’s Shelter of Barrie. It is an awareness raiser for the pressing issue of poverty and homelessness both locally and globally. It is also an inspiration raiser for us ALL to care more for one another. Donations can be made here at Unity Market (25 Toronto St. Barrie) Donations can be in the form of cheque or money. We are also taking donations of non perishable food items, hygiene products, gift cards, toys, socks and clothing. PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF USED CLOTHING. THE SHELTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE THEM DUE TO REGULATIONS. Donations can also be made online to any of the shelters through their website. Did You know that 235,000 #Canadians experience homelessness in a single year and on any night there are 40,000 PEOPLE sleeping on the streets of Canada. THIS IS NOT OK! Homelessness is the responsibility of ALL of us to help make a positive difference in our Communities. EVERYONE is a Person, a HUMAN BEING and deserves to have opportunity, Love and support. DON’T BE QUICK TO JUDGE, AS YOU MAY NOT KNOW THE STRUGGLES THAT OTHERS DON’T SPEAK OF…. Let’s uplift consciousness and help to raise the Spirits within People. Let’s stand uP from a place of Love and look within our Hearts to do so. Show more kindness and caring, compassion and understanding. Let’s show action with Love that we haven’t practiced enough because we’re trapped in a crutch of passing the buck. It is about BEING the CHANGE we wish to see in the world and it is about inspiring each other to do so. Love to You ALL!! The future is made in our hands and is inspired by our Hearts. YOU have the power to make a positively profound difference in the lives of others as any Evolution or Revolution throughout the history of civilization has happened from the countless amounts of efforts by countless amounts of unknown People. #IMUNUMI #Homelessness #EndHomelessness #ActivateYourActivism #Love @lshiphop
