Vintage Throne Barber Lounge will embark on a new journey this upcoming Intercounty Baseball League season as the primary sponsor of the Barrie Baycats baseball team.
Becoming a name sponsor for the Baycats
VTBL, a family-owned and operated local business, acquired the naming rights to the Baycats’ home stadium. The newly minted Vintage Throne Stadium (formerly Coates Stadium) was unveiled to the public back in March, ushering in a new era of Baycats baseball. This unique partnership brings two like-minded organizations together through a community-driven approach.
VTBL owners Daniel & Sabrina Di Tommaso emphasize family values and community. During volunteer work at Midhurst Park last year, Di Tommaso became aware of the Baycats’ need for a new stadium sponsor. While the family comes from a soccer background, partnering with a local sports team like the Baycats felt right.
“Our values on family and community are perfectly aligned. What started as a simple inquiry about sponsorship quickly blossomed into a full-fledged partnership. We want nothing more than to support every athlete on that field. We are so excited and grateful for this collaboration and opportunity,” Di Tommaso explained.
But it doesn’t stop there. VTBL has big plans for the partnership going forward.
“It’s surreal. We’re excited about this new partnership and what’s to come,” said Di Tommaso.
Family values above all else
Vintage Throne Barber Lounge was founded in 2015. Furthermore, the original space was located downtown Barrie on Dunlop Street. Amidst unprecedented circumstances during the pandemic, the team expanded with a second location at 474 Big Bay Point Road. Ultimately, all operations merged into this location, spelling the end of the Dunlop shop.
This decision paid off in spades. Since the merger, VTBL has gone on to thrive. The accomplishments can be directly attributed to the tireless hard work and dedication of the Di Tommaso family.
Importantly, VTBL aspires beyond business and baseball. They are also strong advocates for men’s health and wellness. This understanding led to creating an environment catering exclusively to men’s services.
Additionally, promoting a safe space for men has produced an inviting experience for their clients.
As previously stated, VTBL is all about family. Daniel & Sabrina have four beautiful children aged 8, 15, 16, and 18. The family has instilled its deep, European roots on North American soil. And through these roots, it is known that hard work coupled with teamwork will culminate in desired results of success.
In the VTBL family, everyone contributes. Between Daniel & Sabrina, the family has owned and operated multiple businesses. Undoubtedly, passing on this valuable wisdom to their children and the next generation of family entrepreneurs.
Heading into opening night
Like Vintage Throne Barber Lounge, the Baycats have spent a busy off-season dedicated to building local relationships. Team President Josh Matlow comprehends the importance of ingrained community roots.
“The Vintage Throne family are great people who are extremely supportive. I couldn’t imagine a better fit to align with the Baycats moving forward. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Sabrina through our ongoing meetings,” Matlow shared.
VTBL will get its first taste of Barrie Baycats action on Thursday, May 19, as the Baycats host the Toronto Maple Leafs in their 2022 IBL home opener at 7:30 pm.
Vintage Throne Stadium is located at the beautiful 118-acre complex on 2100 Nursery Road.
Here’s to a fruitful partnership for many years to come!
