Rogers Hometown Hockey Returns to Oro-Medonte
Canada’s beloved fan-favorite hockey festival makes its grand return to Oro on Nov. 6-7. The first phase of the event’s cross-country journey is chugging along nicely, having already made pitstops in Lindsay and Belleville. This family-friendly event features a weekend of hockey-themed activities, local vendors, and live entertainment, hosted by Sportsnet’s Ron MacLean and Tara Slone.
Tickets are still available, and the event is open to all who wish to attend! It’s an opportunity to enjoy Canada’s game and spend quality time with loved ones. And for true hockey buffs out there, a chance to meet NHL Alumni Darryl Sittler!
Georgian Grizzlies Men’s Rugby Semi-Final Match
The Grizzlies host rival Durham Lords Saturday afternoon at J.C. Massie Field on the Georgian College Barrie campus. Barrie’s feisty Grizzlies enter as the number two seed (2-1-1) against the opposing Lords (2-2). When the two teams last met, the Grizzlies came away with a 10-5 victory over their counterpart.
Fully vaccinated fans are invited to attend the game, with no capacity limits. Parking is available at the Barrie campus in parking lot F. The Grizzlies aim to medal for a sixth consecutive year.
Barrie Colts Resume Action Sunday vs. Hamilton Bulldogs
The Barrie Colts visit the Hamilton Bulldogs for an afternoon matchup at FirstOntario Centre, Nov. 7. The Bulldogs currently sit atop the East division standings, while the Colts look to regain ground and get #BackInTheSaddle in the Central division.
