Sharkfest Women’s Hockey Tournament Returns to Barrie
The Barrie Women’s Hockey Association proudly presents the 30th Sharkfest Hockey Tournament. The tournament runs from Nov. 19-21 and is one of the largest female hockey tournaments in Ontario. Sharkfest makes its return after a two-year hiatus, canceled in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic. Moreover, this year’s tournament features 150 teams from across the region, making Sharkfest 2021 the largest EVER!
Roughly 5,000 excited visitors will be in attendance to take in the weekend festivities. To that end, the tourny welcomes teams from Hamilton, London, Niagara, Ottawa, Sarnia, Sault Ste. Marie, Temiskaming, Timmins, and the Greater Toronto area.
More than 2000 skaters will participate on rinks across Barrie and Innisfil. Furthermore, spectators are required to show proof of vaccination. If you love promoting both youth and women’s sports, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
