Chadwick and teammate Martin Licht from the University of Toronto advanced to the Round of 24 in the tournament’s Main Draw. Ultimately, the Canadians dropped two sets against Germany. Barrie Colts Continue Impressive Win Streak
The Colts (13-7-2) earned consecutive victories over the weekend, extending their winning streak to five games… and counting! Furthermore, the Colts welcomed North Bay Battalion to Sadlon arena Saturday night, coming away with a 3-2 victory. Goaltender Mack Guzda stood tall in a shootout win, with Jacob Frasca scoring the lone goal.
Guzda stole the show in the rematch at North Bay Memorial Gardens on Saturday afternoon. As the Colts got #backinthesaddle, they managed to keep the Battalion at bay long enough to earn a 1-0 victory. Guzda made 26 saves as he stonewalled the Battalion to record a shutout. It appears that these weekend performances prove the acquisition of Guzda via trade was well worth the investment.
PlayPong Tournament Results
Redline Brewhouse hosted a doubles Pong Tournament (alcohol optional) on Saturday night. In the end, the “Easy Money Snipers” came away with a hard-earned victory. The victors received $100 in cash and medals as recognition for the accomplishment. What’s more, EMS was enshrined into the Tournament of Champions to commemorate the win.
