Simcoe Rovers FC return home for Week 3

This weekend kicks off a double-header of Rovers FC action. Additionally, the Rovers return home to J.C. Massie Field. League1 Ontario’s newest clubs play host during Week 3 competition.

Firstly, the women take the pitch at 4 pm against Burlington FC. The undefeated Rovers have cruised past the competition in the opening games, going 2-0 with a 5-0 goals differential. A balanced attack coupled with superb goaltending has, to date, produced the desired results in the Rovers’ inaugural season.

Afterward, the men take the pitch at 7 pm to host Alliance United FC. Last week, the Rovers picked up the first win in club history, 3-2 over Master’s FA. On the season, the team sits 1-0-1.

Further, Leaford Allen leads the club’s offence with goals in both games this season.
