Barrie Colts kick-off postseason vs. Mississauga Steelheads
Colts County begins its quest for junior hockey supremacy tonight. The Colts battle the Mississauga Steelheads at Paramount Fine Foods Centre in round one of the 2022 OHL playoffs. Further, the winning team moves one step closer to a berth in the Memorial Cup Championship.
Puck drop is at 7:00 pm.
Things didn’t go the Colts’ way the last time these teams met in the postseason. Moreover, the Steelheads eliminated the Colts from playoff contention back in 2018. The 2022 OHL playoffs grant the Colts an opportunity to right that wrong.

Simcoe Rovers make their season debut
The Rovers FC’s men’s and women’s clubs play their inaugural home openers this Sunday, April 24. In addition, J.C Massie Field plays host to the Rovers this season. Furthermore, the women’s team takes the pitch at 2 pm, while the men’s squad kicks off at 5 pm.
The Rovers make their League1 Ontario debut following an eventful off-season. Notably, the Rovers kept busy with quality player signings and preparation for semi-professional competition. What’s more, the inception of the Rovers puts soccer back on the map in the Simcoe region.

Barrie Minor Baseball hosts Open House
The Barrie Minor Baseball Association’s Open House takes place this Saturday at 24/7 Athletic Kulture.
Together with Athletic Kulture, BMBA hosts a family-fun day for baseball enthusiasts. Equally important, the event offers 20% off personal training sessions and memberships, alongside free smoothies and day passes for attendees.
